A customer approached us with a set of specific requirements for a shipboard application. The system was intended to spend long periods of time at sea under extreme weather conditions. It was critical that we design a solution that endured extreme vibrations, moisture and pressure.
We conducted vibration analysis, determined where the part would reside on the ship, and collected requirements for moisture and corrosion exposure. We designed the product using reinforced components, anti-corrosion plating and used phase-locked loop optimization to ensure stability.
After testing, the product was installed in the customer’s system. To date, it has functioned successfully under temperature, moisture and vibration extremes. Read the full story in our white paper.
